Second Hand Hope is a unique social enterprise by Soap for Hope Canada, offering an unforgettable thrifting experience. Discover curated hotel Lost & Found treasures, perfect for thrift store enthusiasts, vintage collectors, and eco-conscious shoppers seeking sustainable fashion and one-of-a-kind finds. Our store also features upcycled and handcrafted products like Salish Sea Soap Pebbles and organic soap bundles—socially impactful items created to help eradicate hygiene poverty in Canada.

All proceeds from Second Hand Hope go to the Registered Canadian Charity Soap for Hope Canada.

Soap for Hope Canada is dedicated to eradicating hygiene poverty by providing access to essential hygiene products and clean linens to vulnerable people: from Children to Seniors, to low-income Families, Refugees, Indigenous Communities, Homeless people, and people in evacuation centers for fires and floods. 

Soap for Hope Canada primarily works with the hotel industry, collecting gently used hygiene products, linens, and lost & found items. We repurpose these items and distribute them to vulnerable people through Community Facilities or sell them in our thrift store at affordable prices.

We have over 120 weekly volunteers.This equated to over 12,000 hours of work in 2024.

Social Enterprises

Second Hand Hope is just one of Soap for Hope Canada's Social Enterprises. We also pride ourselves in crafting, packaging, and selling our Salish Sea Soap Pebbles and our Organic Soap Bundles. These items are created with new donated product and are used to fundraise for our projects.

Our Social Enterprises generate unrestricted funding, which fuels our ability to innovate and scale our programs. As Dan Pallota highlights in the "Uncharitable" movie, this vital support empowers nonprofits to grow and create lasting change in communities.

Second Hand Hope has joined the growing network of Certified Social Enterprises, businesses that sell goods or services, embed a social, cultural or environmental purpose into the business, and reinvest the majority of profits into their purpose.
